ClosinGap Next

ClosinGap Next is an initiative that brings together Generation Z professionals from ClosinGap member companies to explore the association’s research, exchange perspectives and contribute their views on today’s gender equality challenges and opportunities.

Through a series of sessions, meetings and collaborative spaces, participants engage in discussions on gender gaps and their economic and social impact, while bringing fresh perspectives to the conversation.

Purpose

ClosinGap Next was created to bring the association’s work closer to younger generations and to build a community of young professionals committed to advancing equal opportunities.

The initiative offers a space for reflection, dialogue and participation where representatives from member companies can exchange experiences, gain a deeper understanding of ClosinGap’s work and share their perspectives on the challenges and opportunities facing their generation.

Objective

The programme aims to incorporate the perspective of Generation Z into the analysis of gender gaps while encouraging greater involvement from younger generations in shaping more inclusive and equitable workplaces.

By sharing ideas, experiences and insights, ClosinGap Next contributes to building a network of young professionals who can bring new perspectives to the social, cultural and labour market changes that will define the future.

1st Edition of ClosinGap Next

In May 2026, ClosinGap launched the first edition of ClosinGap Next, bringing together young professionals from member companies to gain a deeper understanding of the association’s work and reflect on the gender equality challenges that remain today.

Over several months, participants took part in learning, networking and discussion sessions focused on some of ClosinGap’s key areas of research. They also contributed a Generation Z perspective on topics including employment, education, work-life balance, health and wellbeing.

The first edition concluded in September with participants presenting their key reflections and findings to the ClosinGap Advisory Board. The programme has provided a valuable platform for incorporating the perspectives of younger generations into ClosinGap’s work while creating a space for dialogue on the challenges and opportunities surrounding equal opportunities today.
